Friday Favourites: Valentine’s Day

I know, this is two days late but better late than never right? I found that this week just got away from me and I didn’t have enough time to get this posted.

Anyways, here are my favourite picks for Valentine’s day.

Favourite New Arrivals: Pottery Barn

I just finished putting together my favourite new arrivals from Pottery Barn and I have to admit it was hard to choose so I decided to focus on bedroom decor to help narrow it down 🙂 They have lots of amazing new white and light wood furniture and some great patterned pillows.

I hope you enjoy my picks!

Friday Favourites: Living Room Edition

I can’t believe it’s already Friday again! It’s only been a week since starting this blog and I’m already having so much fun pulling together mood boards and sharing some of my favourite interiors.

Today for my Friday Favourites, I have pulled together a mood board with pieces that would be perfect for a Living Room. I am seriously in love with the dark purple velvet chair. Oh, and that light! I wish I had somewhere in my own home to put it.

PS – The coffee table from Elte Mkt is on sale right now 🙂

Favourite New Arrivals: CB2

As mentioned in a previous post, I have more favourite new arrivals for spring – this time from CB2. I had trouble only picking a few. They have the most amazing dining room chairs right now, I loved them all and suggest you check it on our their site.

More to come… Stay tuned.

Nursery Design

This past August, I had a little baby boy so up until that point I was busy designing and putting together his nursery. I wanted it to be woodland themed but still feel like a calm and neutral space.

The pendant light is from Restoration Hardware Kids. The crib is from Oeuf NYC. The rug and picture frames are both from West Elm. The mobile and lumbar pillow are from Indigo, the prints are from Etsy and the glider is a Monte chair.

I did switch out the knobs on the Ikea dresser to some brass knobs that I picked up from Lee Valley.

Favourite New Arrivals: West Elm

While Spring still feels like it is very far away, stores are currently getting in all of their Spring merchandise! I am seeing lots of mid-century furniture pieces, blush, gold and navy accessories and plenty of marble (my favourite!) Over the next couple of days I’ll be posting some of my favourite new arrivals from some of my favourite stores.

First up…. West Elm

Trends I Love: Cognac Leather

While I have to admit that I am obsessed with all things white, cream, beige, grey and greige, I do also love cognac leather. It is such an easy addition to any otherwise monochromatic space. I find it adds the perfect amount of texture and warmth to a space. Easy ways to incorporate cognac leather are in items such as sleek chairs in a living room, a simple ottoman or pouf, bar stools in the kitchen or a beautiful cognac leather office chair.

I’ve rounded up some affordable and easily available cognac leather pieces. PLUS some room inspiration from pinterest to help you get inspired.

Persian-Inspired Rugs in the Kitchen

In my Friday Favourites post yesterday, I mentioned that the runner version of the Caitlin Wilson rug looks great in an all-white kitchen {see image below}.

I thought I would share some of my favourite pins that feature this look. Prepare to be inspired!

Welcome and Friday Favourites: Dining Room Edition

So I finally got around to actually posting something. I originally intended to start this blog at the beginning of the year, and we are now 2 weeks in so I’m just a tad late!

Anyways, I have started this blog to share my favourite interior designs, trends, etc. so I hope you like it and follow along.

For my first post, I’ve conjured up a couple of my favourite items for a mid-century inspired Dining Room. Enjoy!

1. I absolutely love this table from West Elm. The curved brass legs make this table feel historic yet contemporary at the same time.

2. This mid-century buffet from West Elm (in Acorn) brings in a more natural element to any space. (Added bonus: it’s on sale!)

3. This bistro globe chandelier from Restoration Hardware is so unique with the combination of black and bronze and the globe shaped glass shades.

4. I love a good upholstered chair, especially one that looks comfortable to sit in. The wood mid-century chair legs make it more interesting than your standard upholstered dining room chair.

5. This is my all time favourite rug right now. It is from Caitlin Wilson design. I love the bright unexpected colours in this traditional rug design. (The runner version of this rug looks great in an all white kitchen)
