Happy hump day!
Today I’ve pulled together some of my favourite island pendant lights that are commonly used by designers. These days designers aren’t only doing the three, small pendant lights over an island in a kitchen that you used to see a number of years ago. These days it’s all about the island pendant lights being a focal point and you can have two, three or even more lights over the island. In my own kitchen, I have 2 of the black iron medium Darlana pendants. I love them because they contrast against my all white kitchen and the black iron ties into other details in the house such as the iron hardware on my doors.
Tip for Hanging Lights Above Island:
2 Pendants: They should be spaced 30″ apart (15″ each way from the centre of the island) and the bottom of the light should be 30 – 36″ above the island.
3 Pendants: They should be spaced 28″ apart and 12″ in from the end of the island. The bottom of the light should be 30 – 36″ above the island.
Here’s my round up along with some inspiration. Enjoy!
